Larger and larger solar farms are planned in southeastern Estonia and local municipality governments are struggling with having to base their decisions on detail plans submitted years ago, when the demand for solar farms was not foreseen to such extent.
Põlva municipality gets at least one permit application a day to develop a or collect solar energy. ClearGen, the Blackstone Group sustainability fund, will commit up to $500 million in partnership with GreenStruxure, a joint venture of Schneider Electric and Huck Capital, to develop renewable energy microgrid solutions for commercial and industrial customers.
GreenStruxure launched in September 2020 and offers no-money-down, modular microgrids installed on-site as part of an energy-as-a-service model. The microgrids serve a variety of users, including small- and medium-sized industrial facilities, schools, hotels and other commercial facilities.

May 24, 2021 COCA-COLA Beverages Philippines Inc. (CCBPI), the bottling arm of Coca-Cola in the country, has achieved another sustainability milestone in Q1 of 2021 upon completing the installation of almost 14,000 solar panels in its Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental and Bacolod plants.
A multi-phased solar panel project is underway that covers four more sites namely, Canlubang, Sta. Rosa, Zamboanga, and Cebu, with 2022 as a target deadline. With this, CCBPI is pursuing a 24,000-solar panel project, with the total capacity to produce a maximum of 9.4MW. More projects are in the pipeline two plants in North Luzon and the Visayas are being assessed for renewable energy integration.
